New service vehicles are being used by ex-soldiers to help with road reconstruction

New service vehicle services have been set up for ex-servicemen, to assist with road work during reconstruction.

The ex-service vehicles were used by former Royal Australian Air Force personnel and their families to help restore roads to the streets following a devastating earthquake in 2014.

More than 100 service vehicles have been put in service around Australia.

The Department of Veterans Affairs said the vehicles were needed to support those who are now working in the public and private sectors and for the welfare of those currently on disability or disability pension.
