A Chinese doctor is charged with murder in US after killing an American patient

A Chinese-American doctor who was shot and killed outside of a hospital in Colorado is charged in the killing.

An autopsy found the patient died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Police in Colorado say the man, Chen Chengwei, was driving a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck when he stopped at a gas station, walked into a gas pump and shot and wounded an American woman.

Chen Chengwei is accused of shooting and killing a US citizen in the parking lot of a gas stations.

Chengwei is currently being held in a Denver jail on $5 million bond.

He was in the country legally in February and has not been charged in Colorado.

According to police, the woman who was hit was a mother of four who had been hospitalized in the past with a variety of medical problems.

Her husband was also hospitalized in Colorado with a medical condition.

Authorities say Chen Chengui is also accused of firing a warning shot and killing another woman outside a gas plant in the Denver suburb of Avondale, which is about 60 miles south of Denver.

The victims were both taken to a hospital.

Investigators say Chen was a licensed physician in China.

He is being held at the Denver County Jail.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Chen Chengjiang, according to Denver-area news outlet KUSA.

In addition to being accused of murder, Chen is also charged with several other crimes including felony aggravated assault, felony aggravated kidnapping and misdemeanor weapons charges.

As of Wednesday, Chen was being held without bond at the Colorado Bureau of Investigation’s Aurora office.
