A woman who was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash in San Diego is expected to be medically examined this week after being rushed to a hospital, authorities said.
The woman was traveling in the area of U.S. 101 and Pacific Avenue in San Marcos on Tuesday when a white Mitsubishi sedan hit her from behind, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.
The man in the car was transported to a local hospital, where he later died, authorities say.
Investigators say the driver of the car, an 18-year-old male, did not wear a seat belt and is cooperating with authorities.
He is cooperating in the investigation.
